We had a wonderful time on the ship last evening. It was a Black Tie Optional night. We sat with friends John and Linda in the Crystal Plaza before dinner and enjoyed a nice conversation with them.
We then met Cruise Director Rick for dinner at Prego. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner between the terrific conversation, the service, cuisine and the ambiance of Prego. Our waiter for the evening was Costa.
We each had four courses.
We began with a small appetizer of the pasta which was an additional entree. We then had a salad. All three of us had the additional seafood entree which was a fish similar to a cod fish along with a scallop and jumbo shrimp.
In addition to the two additional entrees there is an additional dessert which is a soufflé. For a couple of years, Costa has described the soufflé and each time Keith says we will try it sometime . Translation: "Sometime means never." However, this time we all decided to try it. We ordered on two share and Rick ordered one as well. We saw Costa the following day (today) at the Lido Cafe and we said now that we have tried it once we can wait for the next additional dessert whatever that might be. LOL.
After dinner, we attended the Crystal Society Reception which honors those guests who have reached a major milestone with respect tot the number of cruises they have taken. One of the guests receiving a milestone will turn 100 this August and she danced to the stage with Curtis who dances with Beverly in several of the performances and also teaches Dance.
We slept very well last evening as we sail to Ho Chi Minh City. The seas were relatively calm. It is hot inside but for us that worlds well.
Keith was up first and he did workout on the Elliptical Machine. He enjoyed a very nice workout . Afterwards, he went by the Lido Cafe and but the time he got back these talks were few and far between.
We both walked for an hour on the Promenade Deck. The weather was terrific and we enjoyed some nice scenery. We spoke with some fellow guests.
We had breakfast back at the room. Although this was just a partial sea day, there was a Daily Morning Show with Rick and Stacey. Lots of good laughs as we watched the show.
We then sat in the Crystal Plaza and spoke with lots of guests and crew members. It's always a great way to catch up with everyone.
We were scheduled to arrive to the Pier at 11:00 AM and actually arrived about 20 minutes early.
With some people doing tours starting today and others doing overlands the Lido Cafe and the Crystal Dining Room opened earlier for lunch at 11:30 AM so we ate earlier as Keith planned to play Paddle Tennis which is exactly what he did. It was hot and humid but preferable over the cooler and windy weather we had while sailing Japan and Shanghai.
Anne Marie walked in the afternoon and we just enjoyed the rest of the day on the ship.
Tonight we are back in the Crystal Dining Room for dinner. We are doing a private tour tomorrow with dear friends Bob and Glo.
