After we had lunch yesterday in St. Emilion we walked for awhile with our guide Alain and enjoyed nice views of the historic and old downtown area.
We were back in the Crystal Dining Room for dinner last evening.
These were the menus.
We continued to try some of the new modern cuisine items.
We each had a half a portion of the Goat Cheese Hazelnut Ravioli and enjoyed that as our starter.
Our Senior Waiter brought us out the other Modern Cuisine appetizer to try. It was quite unique as when she opened the top smoke came out of it and it had a nice aroma.
For our next course, we each had Salad. Of late, Anne Marie has been having a standing order salad of Spinach and Keith continues to go with a standing order salad of spinach, mushrooms and tomatoes.
For our entree, Anne Marie had the Modern Cuisine Seared Scallop and Keith had the traditional Swordfish. We both enjoyed our entrees.
For dessert, it was blueberries for Anne Marie and mixed berries for Keith.
The Dining Room was fairly quiet. Several guests were on evening tours and/or dining off the ship.
We stayed overnight in port last night. We still slept well without the gentle rocking of the ship. Keith was up early and worked out at the Fitness Center, read and wrote and stopped by the Lido Cafe for coffee. After Anne Marie had some coffee, we both walked for one hour.
We then had breakfast in our room and then we got ready to begin another day on the Serenity.
The Serenity set sail for Le Verdon, France at 9:00 AM and this was necessary due to the tides. We enjoyed the scenery from the ship as we sailed to Le Verdon.
Keith took the Spin Indoor Cycling Class and Anne Marie sat at the Crystal Cove while Keith was in Spin. The class was great and we had a full class plus even more people than available bikes so they will get to take the class tomorrow.
We met with John Stoll who is Vice President of Crystal Cruises Land Program and Operations at the Bistro for coffee and chatted with him for an hour. It was a real treat to get time with John who is on this voyage for a few days for meetings.
In the afternoon, Keith played Paddle Tennis for a couple of hours with guests that had boarded the ship in Southampton. Lots of nice people who enjoy Paddle Tennis. Anne Marie walked for one hour on the Promenade Deck and then sat out for awhile. As Alain our tour guide told us yesterday, unlike yesterday when it was cloudy and cool, this afternoon was sunny and warmer. With that said, he said tomorrow would be rainy so we are fortunate that we did not have any rain during yesterday's tour.
This evening we are going to Tastes with a couple of special people. We will post all about that tomorrow.
