DAY 99 - DAY NINETY ONE ON THE CRYSTAL SERENITY

We wanted to begin by highlighting the creativity and the talent of the crew on board the Serenity.  We talk about how from time to time the crew makes certain items on board the ship.  For yesterday’s barbeque for the Hot Dogs and the Hamburger’s the crew made the barbeques by cutting oil cans in half and then they made the separate stands for the cans to sit on to form the barbeque.  It is amazing what they do and they made yesterday a truly fantastic and memorable day for everyone.

After an absolutely wonderful day at Bon Bon Island, we enjoyed another terrific evening on-board the Crystal Serenity.  We went down to the Crystal Cove before dinner.  Friend Ileen joined us and we talked about what a nice time we all had on Bon Bon.  Love that name.

The three of us then dined at the Crystal Dining Room.

We began our meal with an appetizer of Tuna Tartare which Head Waiter Augusto made for Keith and Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail for Anne Marie.

For our next course we enjoyed salads as we always do.

We had looked at the menu the night before and we were not very keen on the seafood entree so Augusto suggested that he could make us veal and a penne pasta and we said "sold".  Augusto is not only a terrific Head Waiter but he is a terrific chef and we enjoy the times that he makes us an entree.

For dessert, we each enjoyed the non-fat Peach Frozen Yogurt.

We had a wonderful time dining with friend Ileen.

We skipped the show last evening which featured a comedian and just relaxed in our room.

We did fall asleep very easily as we normally do on most evening's.

Just like clockwork, Keith was up first and began the day by reading and writing.  He then did a short workout at the Fitness Center and then made his daily stop at the Lido Cafe for some coffee.  As he was leaving he prepared a cup for Anne Marie and a short while after returning to the room we went on our one hour walk of the Promenade Deck. The weather was quite nice.  There were a lot of people out and about.

For a good portion of our walk we walked with friend Mary (wife of Computer Instructor Stan) and for the last fifteen or so minutes of our walk, we saw friend Linda and Keith walked with her while Anne Marie continued walking with Mary.  It was fun to catch up with everyone.

Just at the time we returned to our room from the walk, Rao was getting everything set for breakfast.  As we do on sea days we enjoyed breakfast while watching the Daily Morning Show with Cruise Director Rick and World Cruise Hostess Stacey.

Keith then went off for another Spin Class and Anne Marie stopped by halfway through the class to take some photos.  The Spin Class was very challenging.  It is the hardest one that Fitness Director Michael has taught and it was the longest one to date as well.  Maybe, this was payback for Keith having a hamburger on Bom Bom Island.  LOL.

Anne Marie took the photo about half way through today's challenging class.

After changing Keith met up with Anne Marie who was already at the Crystal Cove in the same section that we normally sit at that often people refer to as our office. We stopped by to speak with the on board booking consultant about a cruise that we are interested in.  Anne Marie stopped by one of the shops that continues to have a sale.  This time she found a purse that had previously been marked down and starting today was marked down an additional 50% off.

Anne Marie went to the knitting get together which she continues to enjoy.  Keith ran a couple of errands around the ship and also caught up with Cruise Director Rick.

Since today was a sea day, Keith had Team Trivia.  Our team had the highest score answer fourteen of fifteen questions correctly.  We are now in first place with one game to go.

For lunch, we each had a Salad Entree.

This afternoon Anne Marie walked another hour and then attended Yoga and Keith played a lot of Paddle Tennis until it started to rain and they had to stop.  Later on he met up with dear friend Bob.
